7 Days Rwanda Kenya Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Adventure
Upon arrival at Kigali airport, you met your safari driver guide, who will brief you shortly and later transfer you to the booked accommodation in Musanze which is roughly a 2 hours’ drive to you booked in Musanze. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel (The Manor). Meal Plan: Dinner
Finally, here comes the day, to get face to face with the gentle gorillas. After your breakfast at the lodge, your guide will transfer you to the park for gorilla trekking. The trek can last for 2 – 6 hours, depending on the gorilla movements, and your fitness level. This is always looked at as a one or two life time moment, where you come face to face with the gorillas.
The experience is magical, I have no words to describe it. An hour will be allocated for you, and later return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon head for cultural experience at Iby Iwacu. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel (The Manor). Meal Plan: Full board
Today after you warm early morning breakfast, you will be picked by our safari driver guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing and start off you day golden monkey trekking. Just like the gorilla trekking experience, the same applies to golden monkey trekking though no so hectic like gorilla trekking. You will later return for lunch.
After lunch, you will drive back to Kigali, and if time allows, visit the local market and art craft shops, for some shopping, before being transferred your booked hotel at Kigali Serena Hotel. Meal Plan: Full board
Transfer to Kigali airport to catch up with your early morning flight to Nairobi.
Pick up by your safari guide from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport from an early morning arrival flight. Board your safari converted vehicle, pre safari briefing and departure to Masai Mara. Lunch at your lodge / tented camp. Afternoon game viewing as you begin your each for the BIG 5 and many other mammal and bird species that reside here. Overnight stay at Sanctuary similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
You will spend the whole day exploring this world renown reserve during your game drives. Your expert safari driver / guide with in-depth knowledge of the vast reserve will help you locate Lions, Elephants, Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo, Burchell’s Zebra, Hippos, Elands, Spotted Hyena, Topi, Hartebeest, Warthog, Black Backed Jackal, Mongoose, Masai Ostrich, Secretary Bird, Marabou Stork, Martial Eagle, Vultures, Egrets among several other mammal and bird species that call Masai Mara home.
You simply need to have your animal checker guide ready, and get ready for the adventure. Between the months of June and September, Masai Mara hosts the world’s biggest wildlife spectacle; the annual wildebeest migration when over 1.2 million wildebeest and Zebra cross over from northern Serengeti into Masai Mara in search of greener pastures, especially the red oat grass which is a delicacy to the marauding Gnus. If you travel during these months, your guide will dedicate time to trailing the migrating herds both in the savannah and along the banks of the Crocodile infested Mara River. Overnight stay at Sanctuary Olonana. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
After breakfast, check out of rooms head for a short game drive as you find you way out of the park. On arrival, lunch will be served (time permitting) followed by transfer to JK Airport for your afternoon departure flight. Meals: Breakfast. END OF SERVICES.
