8 Days Rwanda Uganda Gorilla & Wildlife Adventure Safari

Day 1: Airport transfer

Upon arrival at Kigali airport, you met your safari driver guide, who will brief you shortly and later transfer you to the booked accommodation in Kigali at Chez Lando Hotel (BB)

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe

Have your breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide and transfer to Nyungwe National Park, which is roughly 5 hour’s drive away. Late return and have lunch, en route and spend the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel at Emeraude Kivu Resort. (FB)

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk

Wake up early morning have breakfast and transfer for chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe forest where you will enjoy the trekking and an hour will be allocated with the chimpanzees. You will have lunch before heading for the canopy walk in the afternoon. The walk is roughly 1 and half hours, with great reflection of the Nyungwe forest. Later return and drive to your booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Emeraude Kivu Resort. (FB)

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Have morning breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will check into your lodge, have lunch and relax. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (FB)

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking & Batwa Cultural Experience

Have breakfast at the lodge, and later you will head out for gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will be transferred to the park headquarters and in the company of the ranger guides, you traverse the forest jungle, hiking steep slopes and descending narrow valleys not forgetting crossing the seasonal streams in search of these endangered apes. The whole encounter can last about 2 – 6 hours with one full hour of spending with the gorillas. You will later return to the lodge for hot lunch and in afternoon, embark on the Batwa Cultural Experience. The Batwa are the real natives of the Bwindi forest who were evacuated from the forest as to reason for conservation of the park. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (FB)

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Have morning breakfast and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will catch up with lunch at your lodge before heading for game drive. You will later drive back to with a brief game drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight at your booked accommodation at Twin Lake Safari Lodge (FB)

Day 7: Game drive & boat cruise

Today after having your morning breakfast, you head off to the park at the famous Kasenyi side in search of wildlife and a number of bird species including the search for the big cats. You will later drive for lunch before heading for a two hours boat cruise along the Kazinga channel famous for harboring over 5000 hippos, in its pool. Number of bird species, animals and Nile crocodiles can be seen here. You will later drive back in the evening to your lodge with a brief game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: Transfer back to Kigali  

Today after your early morning breakfast, jump on to the vehicle and drive back to Kigali, and if time allows visit the local market for shopping before heading at the airport to catch up with your later evening flight.
