7 Days Luxury Kenya – Tanzania Wildlife Safari

Safari Overview:

This safari mainly focusses on sighting the BIG 5 in Masai Mara, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 1- Nairobi / Masai Mara- Approx. 6 hrs drive:

Pick up by your safari guide from your Nairobi Hotel, or the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport from an early morning arrival flight. Board your safari converted vehicle, pre safari briefing and departure to Masai Mara. Lunch at your lodge / tented camp. Afternoon game viewing as you begin your each for the BIG 5 and many other mammal and bird species that reside here. Overnight stay at Sanctuary Olonana / Entim Mara Camp / similar. Meals: Lunch, Dinner.

Day 2 and Day 3 – Masai Mara:

You will spend the whole day exploring this world renown reserve during your game drives. Your expert safari driver / guide with in-depth knowledge of the vast reserve will help you locate Lions, Elephants, Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo, Burchell’s Zebra, Hippos, Elands, Spotted Hyena, Topi, Hartebeest, Warthog, Black Backed Jackal, Mongoose, Masai Ostrich, Secretary Bird, Marabou Stork, Martial Eagle, Vultures, Egrets among several other mammal and bird species that call Masai Mara home. You simply need to have your animal checker guide ready, and get ready for the adventure. Between the months of June and September, Masai Mara hosts the world’s biggest wildlife spectacle; the annual wildebeest migration when over 1.2 million wildebeest and Zebra cross over from northern Serengeti into Masai Mara in search of greener pastures, especially the red oat grass which is a delicacy to the marauding Gnus. If you travel during these months, your guide will dedicate time to trailing the migrating herds both in the savannah and along the banks of the Crocodile infested Mara River. Overnight stay at Sanctuary Olonana / Entim Mara Camp / similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 4- Masai Mara / Northern Serengeti:

After breakfast, check out and be driven to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Serengeti (with one immigration stop over). On arrival in Serengeti, your private driver guide will meet and transfer you to your lodge. Check in followed by lunch. You will then enjoy game drives between 1600 hrs and 1800 hrs. Dinner and overnight stay at Four Seasons Serengeti Safari Lodge (Savannah View Room) / Ole Serai Luxury Tented Camp- Seronera / similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 5- Serengeti:

You will spend the day exploring the the Serengeti as you search for major wildlife sightings. You will explore the open plains, kopjes, bushes and River banks looking for Big predators like Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, and scavenging opportunists like jackals, hyenas, vultures, Marabou Storks so you also have a chance of catching them in action. Hippos, Crocs, Zebra, Giraffe, Serval Cat, Topi, Buffalo etc are among others you will be on the lookout for. Dinner and overnight stay at Ole Serai Luxury Camp – Seronera / similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 6- Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater:

After breakfast, you depart to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. En route, you may visit the Ol Dupai Gorge, the museum where archaeological collections by Louis and Mary Leakey are displayed insitu. This is an optional opportunity to learn about human evolution and the early man. This afternoon, you descend down the steep walls of the caldera for game drives along the crater floor. Lions, Elephants (including huge bulls), Cheetah, Spotted Hyena, Black Rhino, Gnus, Jackals, Baboons, Buffalos, Flamingos (on the crater lakes), Hippos and even the rare Caracal are some of the animals you might spot here. You will then proceed to your lodge for check in, dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp / Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge / similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 7- Arusha – Arusha – Kilimanjaro Airport:

After breakfast, check out of rooms by latest 1000 hrs and drive to Arusha town.  On arrival, lunch will be served (time permitting) followed by transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your afternoon departure flight. Meals: Breakfast. END OF SERVICES.

Safari include:

  • Arrival and departure transfers at Nairobi and Kilimanjaro airports respectively on private basis
  • 3 nights’ accommodation while on safari in Masai Mara on full board basis
  • 2 nights’ accommodation while on safari in Serengeti on full board basis
  • 1 nights’ accommodation at the Ngorongoro Crater on full board basis
  • All Park entrance fees, concession and crater service fees applicable as per the itinerary
  • Transport and game drives on safari using a 4x4WD safari converted land cruiser with a pop-up roof and sliding windows on private basis and in adherence to post COVID – 19 health and safety protocols

Additional sightseeing or deviation from the itinerary, all International and domestic Flights- unless included in the package, cost of Visa to Kenya and Tanzania, Vaccinations etc, all items of a personal nature such as tobacco; laundry; phone calls, etc., All extra costs incurred at the hotels including drinks, telephone services, Tip for safari guide & waiters, porters, extra guiding fees, Medical/Travel Insurance, any domestic Flights, Post Safari PCR testing, any Other Items not mentioned in the inclusions list.
