Meet your guide at Entebbe airport upon arrival or at your hotel in Entebbe/ Kampala and transferred to Kibale National Park, one of the dense tropical forests’ in the western region of Uganda known as the homes of chimpanzees. The drive may take + 5 hours with en route stop overs to stretch, take photography as you watch over the rolling hills and swampy wetlands along the country side till you find yourself in Fort Portal then Kibale. You will check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal Plan: Lunch & dinner
Have breakfast at your lodge, later jump into your jeep and drive for brief at Kanyanchu visitor’s center, where you will later find access to the forest to trek the chimpanzees. Kibale is home to over 13 primate’s species including Thomas galagoes, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, to mention but a few which are often sites along the route on trekking the chimpanzees. You will be given an hour on finding the chimpanzees to watch their daily life. After trekking, you will head for lunch before heading for a swamp walk at Bigodi bird sanctuary which is another hot spot to spot more primates and bird species. It is a birding paradise. You will later return in the evening for dinner and overnight. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & dinner
Today after your morning breakfast, jump into your jeep and find your way to Bwindi, which is famous for gorilla trekking, harboring half of the world remaining gorillas. You will have en route lunch along the way and reach in the afternoon, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Have breakfast at the lodge, and later you will head out for gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will be transferred to the park headquarters and in the company of the ranger guides, you traverse the forest jungle, hiking steep slopes and descending narrow valleys not forgetting crossing the seasonal streams in search of these endangered apes. The whole encounter can last about 2 – 6 hours with one full hour of spending with the gorillas. You will later return to the lodge for hot lunch and in afternoon, embark on the Batwa Cultural Experience. The batwa are the real natives of the bwindi forest who were evacuated from the forest as to reason for conservation of the park. Later return for dinner and sleepover at the lodge.
Today after your early morning breakfast, jump on to the vehicle and drive back to Kampala with an en route lunch and with a stopover at the equator for an photography and equator experience. Reaching in the afternoon for transfer to the airport to catch up with your flight back home.
