3 Days Homestay and Culture Experience

Day 1: Meet your host at the homestay

Upon arrival at the Musanze, we will transfer you to the homestay. You will take part in preparing dinner with the host family, enjoy ancient stories around the fire and stay overnight.

Day 2:- Engage in typical Rwandan house hold chores

Enjoy a whole day of engaging with the local community in Musanze through taking part in a number of home activities ranging from banana beer production, basket weaving, farming, cow milking etc. Stay overnight.

Day 3:- Departure

After breakfast, bid your host goodbye.

Price: from $100, depending on season and choice of hotel.

The price is based on 2 people sharing a double or twin room on full board basis.
It includes:
o Transport in a 4WD safari vehicle exclusive to you
o English speaking driver/guide

3 days Cultural Heritage Tour

• Traditional dance & drumming + magical pond

Day 1: Traditional dance & drumming + magical pond visit

You’ll arrive at the Red Rocks Art Center camping grounds and be introduced to traditional art and crafts of Rwanda, then join the local women in a traditional dance & drumming class or on the social aspects of banana beer production. You have lunch and later that afternoon, visit “Iriba Rya Nkotsi Na Bikara”, a nearby pond with magical waters. Return for dinner and overnight at the campsite

Day 2: Twin lakes + botanical garden

After breakfast, depart for a visit to the twin lakes of Musanze, take a hike uphill to view the unearthly view of both the lakes Ruhondo and Burera (optional boat ride to one of the peninsulas). Have a picknick lunch before you visit our botanical garden, which is a lovely way to learn about how Rwandans depended on nature for food and medication. Return for overnight.


Day 3: Cultural Village visit

Visit Iby’iwacu Gorilla Guardians Cultural Village, a non-profit umbrella organization that aims at improving the lives of reformed poachers and communities around Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park through provision of conservation incentives, supporting community enterprise development and livelihood based projects. Departure.
